Walking is healthy, cheap and environmentally friendly. This year the Vienna Mobility Agency is pushing a campaign to encourage its citizens to walk more often. www.wienzufuss.at informs about every walking related attraction and event taking place in Vienna.
How can you as a citizen become an active part in urban walkabilty planning?
Here are 3 highlights in 2015 to get you involved:
1. Smart Slam – get your message across
Fabrik Publik in Aspern Seestadt is the venue for the Smart Slam „smart ideas from smart people“ on 14 April 2015. The concept: It is like a poetry slam or poetry competition in which you „perform“ and present your smart city idea in front of an audience, which serves as judge.
2. Walking Visionaries Award – submit your idea for a walkable city
Vienna is hosting the upcoming Walk 21 conference from 21 to 23 October 2015 with the walking visionaries award. Submission deadline: 30 April 2015.
3. Meet and greet with Petra Jens
